Cayman Gains Valuable Experience at Americup

Being a part of Cayman’s first FIBA 3×3 experience was great. Being in the FIBA environment with over 25 countries represented, seeing the different styles of play from very experienced teams, adjusting to the way the game is officiated for 3×3 vs 5 on 5; all of these things have certainly made this experience a very good one. It has given insight on how Cayman can prepare for the next 3×3 tournament and the players will know what to expect in terms of physicality.

The Cayman team has received a lot of encouragement and compliments from fellow Caribbean teams and federations, who have all testified to the learning curve they experienced at their first 3X3 tournaments as well. All in all, it bodes well for Cayman’s continued growth and development.
