Hoops for the Holidays – Conservation Cup 3×3 Is Here!

The Cayman Islands Basketball Association (CIBA) is excited to kick off the festive season with an all-new youth event that blends fast-paced basketball action with the spirit of environmental stewardship. Introducing the Hoops for the Holidays: Conservation Cup 3×3, taking place Friday, December 5th from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM!

This one-of-a-kind Christmas-themed 3×3 tournament brings together young athletes from across the island in an energetic, eco-focused celebration of sport, teamwork, and community pride.

Divisions

The Conservation Cup will feature competition in three youth categories:
Limited to the first 8 teams to register!

  • Boys U14
  • Boys U17
  • Girls U17

Teams may register up to 4 players maximum — the standard 3×3 format of 3 players on court + 1 substitute.

Whether you’re a seasoned baller or new to 3×3, this event is designed to be fun, inclusive, and packed with holiday energy.

Expect a festive atmosphere with holiday décor, music, giveaways, and fun contests like the 3-Point Shootout and Dunk Contest (venue permitting).


How to Register

Registration is now open! Team captains can sign up online and submit player details, including jersey sizes.
Only one registration per team is required, and all players must be in the correct age category.

Spaces are limited based on facility capacity, so early registration is strongly encouraged.


Why “Conservation Cup”?

This event highlights Cayman’s commitment to protecting our natural environment, especially during the season of giving. Throughout the tournament, youth will participate in small environmental challenges and awareness moments in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and local conservation advocates.
