Cayman Defeats Grenada in Americup Pre-Qualifiers
Cayman bounced back with a strong win today, defeating Grenada 77–68 at the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre‑Qualifiers in Georgetown, Guyana.
It was a much improved performance, with Cayman pulling down 42 rebounds — 14 of them offensive — and showing better ball movement with 11 assists. The team shot 51 percent from two‑point range and converted free throws at 62 percent, while Grenada struggled at the stripe, hitting just 38 percent.
Davion Cotterell led the way with a game‑high 21 points, powering Cayman’s offense inside.
