St Ignatius Crowned Division A Champions in KPMG 14U Basketball League
The 2026 KPMG 14 & Under Basketball League delivered an exciting finale as St Ignatius Catholic School emerged victorious over John Gray High School A with a 68–43 win in the Division A championship matchup.
In a game filled with energy, determination, and high-level play, both teams left everything on the court. The young athletes showcased their talent and passion for the game, making for a thrilling contest from start to finish. Ultimately, St Ignatius held their composure in key moments to secure the championship title.
This year’s competition was one of the largest to date, featuring 22 public and private school teams competing over several weeks. The league continues to serve as a vital platform for youth development, teamwork, and sportsmanship across the Cayman Islands.
A special acknowledgment goes to KPMG, whose continued commitment has been instrumental in the league’s success. For over 15 years, KPMG has supported the inter-school basketball program, helping provide opportunities for more than 2,500 students to participate, grow, and excel through sport.
The Cayman Islands Basketball Association extends congratulations to St Ignatius Catholic School on their championship win and commends all participating teams for their effort and sportsmanship throughout the season.
As the league continues to grow, it remains a cornerstone for developing the next generation of basketball talent in the Cayman Islands.
