The Boys Division B Final in the KPMG 14 & Under Basketball League delivered a competitive and hard-fought contest, with St. Ignatius Catholic School defeating John Gray High School 29–21 to claim the championship.
The game was highlighted by strong defensive efforts from both sides, with each possession fiercely contested. St. Ignatius managed to gain the edge through disciplined play and timely scoring, allowing them to pull ahead and maintain control late in the game.
John Gray High School showed determination throughout, keeping the pressure on and competing until the final whistle.

The final was a showcase of talent, determination, and growth, with both teams delivering an energetic and competitive performance. From the opening tip, it was clear that the young athletes were ready for the big stage, displaying skill, teamwork, and resilience throughout the game.
Cayman Prep A executed well on both ends of the floor, maintaining composure in key moments to secure the victory and cap off an impressive run to the championship. First Baptist also put forth a strong effort, demonstrating the depth of talent within the league.
This year’s competition featured 22 public and private school teams, continuing to highlight the growth of youth basketball across the Cayman Islands.

The young athletes showcased their talent and passion for the game, making for a thrilling contest from start to finish. The Kelly Law Under-13 Basketball League has officially wrapped up after an exciting three months of competition, development, and fun for young basketball players across the Cayman Islands.
The league featured more than 60 boys and girls, all eager to improve their skills and compete in a positive and structured environment. Throughout the season, players demonstrated tremendous growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship as they battled on the court week after week.
Beyond the regular league games, the season also included several special events designed to celebrate the young athletes and highlight their talents. Players participated in a thrilling All-Star Game, along with a Skills Challenge and Shooting Contests, creating memorable moments for participants, parents, and fans.
A Championship Game to Remember
The season culminated in a dramatic championship matchup between the Spurs and the Lakers, two teams that had shown strong performances throughout the league.
In a nail-biting final that kept spectators on the edge of their seats, the Spurs narrowly defeated the Lakers 46–45 to claim the Kelly Law U13 League Championship. The one-point victory capped off a fantastic season and highlighted the determination and effort of both teams.
Rockets Secure Third Place
Earlier in the day, the Rockets defeated OKC 51–33 in the third-place playoff game. The Rockets delivered a strong performance to close out their season on a high note.
Celebrating the Future of Cayman Basketball
The conclusion of the Kelly Law U13 League represents another successful step in the development of youth basketball in the Cayman Islands. With more than 60 young athletes participating, the league continues to play an important role in nurturing talent, teaching the fundamentals of the game, and encouraging teamwork and discipline.
